The compass in use.
The compass is a common utility item that is stored in the tool section of the inventory. It can be used to determine which direction you are facing, and this makes it very useful for navigating. Compasses are often found in supermarkets and residential areas.
The compass can be temporarily activated by pressing the (default) K key, or can be toggled by double tapping K. At night, the compass illuminates itself and is easily visible on-screen.
